This selection of creation texts was compiled from the King James Version (KJV) version of the Bible. All texts were compared with more modern translations with particular reference to the New American Standard Bible (NASB). The criterion for selection was the belief that most reasonable people would agree that these texts constitute unambiguous references to the act of creation or the creation story. Thus, for example, when Paul refers to Adam and Eve, the first created humans, in I Timothy 2:13 it is included in the text even though the reference is to characters in the creation account, but not necessarily to the entire act of creation.
Many additional texts could have been included that refer to God as the "Maker" of Israel or the "Owner" of the earth and all that is in it, but these were not included as there is room to argue that these are not making specific claims about the creation of the whole earth and life on it. No doubt there are also a few texts that have been included that some reasonable people might contend should not have been. I hope that this will not distract from the general picture of the creation depicted throughout the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

In the Beginning
At the heart of this documentary is the journey of two college students, Matt and Tiffany, who are given the overwhelming assignment of gathering information about the origins of the universe from a theistic worldview. Taking an RV, they travel around the United States and speak with both experts and bystanders along the way, while somehow trying to reconcile the bewildering mixture of scientific data, theological interpretations, biased opinions, and heated emotions.Buy now
