Scripture
This compilation of creation texts is drawn from the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. Each text underwent a comparison with modern translations, primarily the New American Standard Bible (NASB). The selection criteria focused on texts widely considered unambiguous references to the act of creation or the creation story. For instance, though Paul's mention of Adam and Eve in I Timothy 2:13 refers specifically to characters in the creation account, it was included.
Many additional texts could have been included that refer to God as the "Maker" of Israel or the "Owner" of the earth and all that is in it, but these were not included as there is room to argue that these are not making specific claims about the creation of the whole earth and life on it. No doubt there are also a few texts that have been included that some reasonable people might contend should not have been. I hope that this will not distract from the general picture of the creation depicted throughout the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
